With MSC Actran, you can address many different types of sound related problems including radiation, scattering, transmission through simple or sandwich partitions, enclosed sound fields, propagation in treated ducts, convected propagation, fluid-structure interaction and accurate modelling of damping.
Features unique to MSC Actran include: propagation of sound waves in a non-uniformly moving fluid, coupling of the FE solution to analytical components (infinite duct), implicit modelling of anechoic and reverberant chambers, acoustic transmission through or acoustic absorption by composite/sandwich structures, excitation of the structure by diffuse sound field or turbulent boundary layer.
What's more, MSC Actran offers a unique solver for quickly calculating the frequency response function of a damped or undamped system over a large frequency range with an arbitrary frequency resolution.
